My Family Recipes 9 - Asam Fish
- Some asam paste
- Some salt
- Some white sugar
- 2 pieces of garlic and 2 small red onion. Chopped.- Some vegetables (anything you like. For example, egg plant, lady finger, tomato and ete)Preparation for Asam water
- Prepare some asam paste- Put the paste into water and mix well with water
- Filter the asam and only keep the water
Preparation for fish
- Can you slice fish or fish head - Wash it
- If is using fish head, can steam the fish head till it cook.
- Throw away the water (juice from the fish head because is too fishy)
Preparation for Chili Paste
- Cut 5 red chilies into half and remove the seeds. - Break 4-5 garlic and 3 small red onions. Put 1 & 2 into blender and blend them together.Method
- Heat up some oil. Put the chopped grails and onion and fired till golden. - Put in the chilies and fired for 2-3 minutes - Put in the asham water and cook till boiling - Put in the vegetables and cook for 5 minutes - Put in the slice fish or fish head and cook for 5 minutes- Put some white sugar and salt. Try the taste till the taste you like.
My Family Recipes 8 - Black Vinegar Pork Leg
- Prepare a bottle of black vinegar. Highly recommended must be this yellow dog brand.
- Some gingers. If you like the spicy taste of gingers, prepare more gingers.
- 5-10 eggs (boil the eggs till completely cooked. Remove the shells)
Preparation the pork leg
- 1 pork leg about 1.5 KG to 2 KG. Cut into small pieces.
- Cook some hot water and boil the pork leg. It helps to remove the bad smell and blood.
- Change the water with cool water 1 or 2 times and wash the pork leg.
Method
- Heat up some sesame oil. Fry the gingers until turn into golden. - Put the pork leg and fry them with gingers.
- Put one bottle of black vinegar and some water (if you don’t like too strong vinegar taste, put less vinegar or more water).- Turn to slow fire when the vinegar is boiling.
- Put the egg- Turn the pork legs every 10-15 minutes.
- Cook the pork leg slowly for about 1 to 1.5 hour. Till the pork leg is soft. (make sure the vinegar is not dry up)
- May put some sugar (better with brown sugar) before serve.
