This year the IT Global Director Meeting changed the traditional to move from France to Asia. One of the key reasons is because the global data centre is moving from USA to Singapore. So, it was a good chance to show all the region directors and managers the new data centre.

The meeting was in Club Med Bintan. Actually it was quite wasted to go to Club Med for meeting but not for vacation. On the day time, most of the time we stayed in the meeting room. It was really wasted the deep blue sea and white sand beach.

In such case, we only managed to jumped into the sea after 10PM. Anyway, it was a great experience to drink in the sea at night.

Fortunately, the last day I wasn’t had meeting. Had a chance to do windsurfing and snorkeling. It was my 1st try for windsurfing. Great experience and I enjoyed it very much.

Very sinful to have such fat pork belly @ 1st 2 day. This is Bintan, a very HOT island. I lost my shoes. Wondering how it disappeared from my room.

I WANT TO COMPLAIN

Happened to read this interesting article. Actually, it is very true. Singaporean is one of the kinds in the world that ENJOY complaining. Reason can be due to 3.

1) When 5 million people are stay in a very small piece of land, the chance of getting conflict between human and human, human and non-human and non-human and non-human is high. So complain come up.

2) There are many channels for people to make complain.

3) Life in this land is boring, people are willing to gossip and spread the “information”. Since there are so many “supporters”, for sure people are willing to make so noise and get the sport light on.

A Short Break

Went to Malaca for a Go-Alone-Trip. Some people may think travel alone is boring and lonely. However, it is not true. When travel alone, you will see difference thing and meet difference people which you are not able to experience when travel in group.

Another good thing when travel alone is I can eat whenever and wherever when I want to. I had 6 meals/tea breaks a day. Really ate alone.

This shop only sale coffee from Malaysia. I tried the Senlangor coffee which is very nice. The house made Yogurt blue berry cheese cake is nice too. This is Tim Sum house just next door to the hotel where i stayed. A famous Tim Sum house in Malaca.
Felt like the sun was trying to burn down the whole area. The heat is “incredible”. Kept eating cendol to cold down. This is just so so.

Don't you think this mirror is so beautiful? Stayed in a small hotel on the Malaca old town. Owner is a artiest couple. Husband is Malaysian and the wife is Korean. The wife’s sister is running the hotel now so the couple can focus with their clothes painting business.

My Ruby Ring

For my yearly visit to the Master this year, he gave me a red ruby and wanted me to make a ring, wear it my right hand middle finger. He said the ruby is going to bring me good luck and chase away bad thing.

After got the ruby, I started to design the ring that I want. Finally, I completed simple design. After able 3 months waiting, I got the ring last night.

I was excited with I wore the ring this morning and proud to share my design with my colleague. However, after worfe te ring for less than 2 hours, @ around 10+am, I found these is a white line appears inside the ruby. My colleague and I are very sure we didn’t see the white line in the morning. Then, what is that and how the white line comes from? I have no diea.

Called my uncle and checked with him regarding to the phenomenon white line. The answers is in my uncle 40+ year experience with jewelry and gem stone, he never experienced it. So, for me, it is a miracle.

Bomb in NY City

Happened to talk about there is long time no bomb case in Bali and we are expected it happens any time. Didn't expect NY City faced the issue 1st. Fortunately, no1 got hurt. Unfortunately, the terrorism is still threaten you and me.

Wore jeans and t-shirt when attended the wedding. People said the same when they saw me: How can you wear like this and attend a wedding? No respect at all". Sorry, I knew my dress code was really too casual that day. But the terrible weather in Singapore really driving me crazy. I just want to wear simple and feel cooling.
