India - 27th Feb 2010

When mention about India, 1st thing come thought most people minds is Taj Mahal or curry. However, this is my 2nd trip in India (total stay is 4 weeks) but I am not yet visit Taj Mahal and also don’t eat much curry. Most of the time, food is close to western style. Have been told that don’t give the statue or model of Taj Mahal to anyone. It is going to bring bad luck for both of them.

India - 26th Feb 2010

Finally went thought the 1st week of meeting and workshop. I do enjoy the sessions. Actually quite tired especially I am having jet lag. You may be surprised only 2.5 hours different, why I have jet lag. Not sure the reason. However, I do wake up at around 4:30AM which is 7AM Singapore Time everyday. So, in the later after, my eyes are only 1/3 open.

Good to be Friday. Even thought there was a major issue happened in the GDC but everything is fine now. Didn’t have dinner today. My boss, my US colleague & I were drinking and having some fingers foods. We did have good chat together till 11pm. Again, tired but enjoyable.

This is pub in the hotel and where we spent our night.

India - My 2nd Trip

After 2 years and 4 months, I am going to India again. No expectation and don’t feel exciting at all for the trip. Only one good thing is I am able to meet my team again.

One thing I need to highlight again, the service standard in India’s hotel and restaurant really the best in the world. At least compare to all the city I go.

Stay in this hotel because it is inside the International Technology Park. We can walk to work.
See, a welcome message in the TV. i have a big bed. The most important thing to do, MUST CHECK THE WATER.

New Year = Tired

For many people, Chinese New Year holiday is a holiday for resting. For me, it is always the busiest and tiring holiday for me. From new year preparation until new year days, everyday get many thing to do. Shop for new year goodies, preparing for stuffs to pray to the god, decollation, go wet market for getting foods, spring cleaning, cooking, doing gardening and so on. Everything is enough to kill me. That’s why after the new year, I am usually like a dead meat – so tired.

This year on new year eve, I was telling myself: Can I not to celebrate the new year any more? Just treat it as normal days for me to rest, sleep and do noting. However, when look at my parents, they are so urge to celebrate the new year because this is the only chance they are going to have a reunion dinner with all their kids and grandchildren. For them, this is one of the most important day in a year, most important than their birthdays and married anniversary. I can not disappoint them.

The fire crackers. Playing it is illegal by law but legal by culture.

Go to temple and pray for Tie Sui. This temple in my hometown is famous because it has more than 400 Gods in the temple.

The hanging Ang Poa. I asked my father to do it and he enjoys doing that. The vegetables in my father’s farm are growing well. They are for Chinese New Year.
Flowers are growing well as well in new year.

It Moves Too Fast.... :(

Everytime when close a new year, we notice that every second, every minute, every day and every year are flying like wind. We can not now see how it moves and where it goes but we know it is there, with us. It moves quietly without we noticed because we can not see it. When we notice, it already gone and never come back.

I am talking nonsense again.

A walk in Singapore China Town, Feb 2010 before Chinese New Year.
