Long time didn't cook for a gathering already. Happened to have a free Sunday last week and cook some food. The pork belly wasn't that nice. Reason may be I use Japanese soya source which is not a good match with Chinese food.

Get Famous Again

After be the August 2010 calendar boy, my photo has been used for something else. Everyone (worldwide) in the company do get this this pact. There are 6 Customer Pact and I am #6.

Did get email and call from other countries and regions, they told me: " Alfie, you are very famous now".

Of course, same as when my colleagues got the 2010 calendar, some of them in office said the same thing to me again: "Woloud, make us to look at your picture again. Vomit lor. Hahahahaha.....!!!".

New Toy

Got a new toy which is a Sonny Ericsson Aino. Chose this phone is only for 1 simple reason, it has 8.1 megapixel camera. So, next time when my camera is not with me, I am still able to take some “better” quality photo via my mobile. Happened to have a performance in Esplanade. The beautiful night view of Singapore.
Tasted the mobile camera in my favor place in Singapore – from Raffles Place to Esplanade and then Merlion Park. Of course, every time when I go to Merlion Park, I must visit my best friend and “talk” to him.

Singapore Night Festival - July 2010

Attended the once a year Singapore Night Festival. This year I didn’t go to any museum but spent all my time to watch the street performance.

An Open Mind for Change

Finally on 29th June 2010 my office has official started 5S which is part of LEAD initiative – People Empowerment. Give the staffs the authority to make decision regarding to what they want to do and how they want to do. 5S is only one of the excessive for People Empowerment.

2 Straightening or Setting in Order
3 Sweeping or Shining or Cleanliness (Systematic Cleaning)
4 Standardizing
5 Sustaining the discipline
6 Safety

The methodology is not able cleaning the desk but for oneself to decide what he/she really needs for work. If anything that he/she doesn’t need to use/have in the next 6 months, better drop. For those stuffs that don’t need to use for next 1 year, most likely is not going to use any more.

I also make my drawer very neat and clear. My food bar is closed after 2 years and 9 months. Many people are upset about it closed.

Ka Poi me before 29th June already cleaned my desk. Since had nothing to do on the actually, was helping Office Administration team to clean garbage.

Friend recommended 味之樓 before. Last night happened to be @ ION so I tried it for dinner.

I can consider it is a fine dining Chinese restaurant. Most of the food are in small potion and well presented. The inertial design of the restaurant is also well present the luxury environment.

Tried some signature foods there which have been highly recommended by the restaurant. When compare the price with other high end restaurant, the price is consider reasonable but not that cheap. A 石锅鲍翅 (30g 鲍翅) is SGD$38 + 17% per pax and a fresh small abalone is SGD$60 + 17% per pax.

The 经典石锅鲍翅 is very nice. Actually after have 1 pot, you will feel full and don’t want to try any other food.The XO Carrot Cake is using 100% carrot. It is the best carrot cake I even had. 翡翠海参扣鹅掌, the 鹅掌 is very nice.Home made Foie Gras (goose liver) – Cold. If you don’t enjoy the strong taste of Foie Gras. It may not be the good choice for you. Lamp chop. Meat is tender and juicy. However, the gravy taste like Satay sauce. Feel like eating Satay.
