Melaka - Sep 2008 (3)

Had a historical trip in Melaka last Friday night and Saturday. The city is still the same, peace and full with tourists. I like this city even though the weather is hot there. Hope I am not able to open a island beach café, I may open a café in Melaka in one of the street there.

Tonight members from AP office and others AP countries reached Melaka. They are going to attend the Asia Pacific Teambuilding on Friday. Me and other AP mangers welcomed them at the main door. YT, the team leader was telling the team what to do tomorrow. Connie, the assistant team leader was passing room key. Jessica, the Taiwan IT manager. My BO training assistant.

Melaka – Sep 2008 (1)

This is the 2nd Global IS Meeting this year after last summer global meeting in Geneva. This time the location is changed from EU to AP, in Melaka – Malaysia.

The meeting is conducted with standard agenda: discussion, presentation, project update and planning for future need, new idea or suggestion to share that is going to benefit the group and the company.

Keep drinking coffee to wake myself up My room is facing the pool and Straits of Melaka Night view from my room The famous seafood BBQ restaurant in Melaka Lamb steak, one of my favor foods. Really don’t like this. Looks like a thousand worm or snake on the floor. Yuk…….! Keep eating whole day. No wonder Connie said after the 2nd days, she feel like going to puke when see any food.

8am buffet breakfast
10am tea break with fired noodle/rice, cake and kua
1pm buffet lunch
3pm tea break with fired noodle/rice, cake and kua
7pm buffet dinner.

2 hours after lunch, we serve for heavy tea break.

Some look good only cakes.

Yes, I Don't Know What I Want

Finally, my “pig head” friend L did have time to read my blog after 1 year+ since my 1st posted. After deductions, the comments he gave:

1. You are lonely.
2. You are looking for love but you can not find.
3. You don’t know what you want.

I agree with him especially with #3.

In conclusion, because of #3 I don't know what I want, so I have #2 I don't know who I love and who's love I should accept and then follow up with #1 I choose to be alone and being lonely.

A Happy Weekend

It was one of the busier and happier weekends I had. Oh then what I have done for the weekend?

Friday I attended Karen’s birthday party in Sentosa. For sure, happy chat and drinking.

Saturday, met a friend for lunch and then joined another friend for dinner. Later went to China One in Clarke Quay for drinking with a group of friends who I just met that night. After that, joined another group of new friends who I just met that night for karaoke and then clubing. (Yeap, I did meet over 20 new friends that night).

Sunday, went to Muddy Murphy Iris Pub in Orchard Hotel for drinking and watching a soccer game – Chelse vs Man Utd.

Yes, I AM Chinese

A: OMG, you can speak mandarin? You are Chinese?
B: You’re Chinese? I thought you’re Thai.
C: You’re Chinese? I thought you’re Indonesian.
D: You’re Chinese? I thought you’re Malay.
E: You’re Chinese? I thought you’re from Myanmar.
F: Look at your eyes; for sure you are not a 100% Chinese.

In the pass few years, do get above questions from people I meet. Look at the mirror; I really don’t understand which part of my face that tells others that I am not Chinese.

OK, I want to make it clear, I am a Chinese.

Perhentian Island - Sep 2008 (2)

Bought the 10M disposable cameras and take under sea photos, disappointed with the effect and result. Totally different with what I saw. Somehow the feel is not the same as well. Ludo can swims like a fish. No, this is not me. Yes, this is me.

Perhentian Island - Sep 2008

After a long journey (taxi to Senai- flight to KL – flight to Kelantan – taxi to Terengganu – ferry to Perhentian), final reached the beautiful island – Perhentian Big Island.

Surprised me is 95% of “population” (the tourists) in that island is Ang Mok and most of them are from Europe. Even in my group, there were 1 from France and 1 from UK. My JB friends and I were the only Chinese tourists in the island.

I like the resort where I stayed. Reason is only steps away after I got into the sea from the beach; I could see carols. Group and groups of fishes were surrounding me. It is common to see more than a foot long fishes there.

My vacation in that island was enjoyable and relaxing. Day time what I did was snorkeling, sun tanning, snorkeling, sun tanning and snorkeling till 7pm. Night time was dinner and drinking.

The most exciting activity was chasing the turtle. When we saw the turtle, before the boat stopped completely, every1 already jumped into the sea and chasing the turtle.

This trip gave me a different exposure from the sea. Before that, I only able to see the under sea world from book or TV. But now, whatever I have seen before, they were just in front of me and I could even touch them.

For me, under the sea world is a wonder land for me. It gives me a lot of surprise of how beautiful it is. Everytime when I jumped into the sea, I had different surprises, exposures, experiences, understanding what life is and respect different lives in the world.

The Grave Yard
In a small island call Lawa, I saw miles of dead corals under the sea. It is due to global warming and pollution. I was shocked and sad when looked at the dead corals. There are a lot of die carols till I couldn’t see the end. For me, it is a huge grave yard for the carols.

10 years ago they were beautiful, healthy and happily lived in the sea. 10 years after, they all died. Human only needs 10 years time to kill those lives that lived in the earth for more than thousand or even million years.

I really enjoy sat at the cafe and just looked at the sea when having breakfast. So relaxing. The water is so clear.

Can you see the grey areas in the sea? They are corals.
