Used to be like Y, thought it is so 老土 to says: 世界上最远的距离是我站在你的面前,你却不知道我爱你. Taiwanese TV drama especially likes to use it.

However, now think about it, actually it is quite sad that if you really like some1 but he/she doesn’t know or pretend doesn’t know and you can't speak it out.

An Unacceptable Careless

In Geneva airport after checkin and window shopping, suddenly I found my passport and boarding pass were not with me. Checked my bags and pockets, I couldn’t find them. A bad feeling immediately came across my mind: I lost my passport.

Tried to think back, I knew most likely I left them in one of non-open checkin counter because that was the last time I saw my passport when I put my e-ticket into my laptop bag. However, it was 30 minutes ago. Airport has so many people, I didn't think it was possible that my passport was still there.

Rushing back to the counter with my colleague, we just hoped good luck was with me. When got closed to the counter, I finally released because I saw my passport was on the counter. Thanked God, it was till there.

If I really lost it, I must stay in Geneva and apply a new passport. I don’t mind to stay there but as I know, it is very difficult to get a new Malaysia passport. Even though I able to get a new one but the processing days and the trouble are going to kill me since we know the service standard for Malaysia government officer is “World Class”. Maybe it is more easer and faster for me to get Switzerland citizenship than wait for Malaysia to issue me a new passport.

Geneva June 2008 - Day 5

Finally finished all the meeting on Thursday. Did take the opportunity and went to Geneva city after stayed in a moutain for about a week. Reached there was about 7PM. Fortunately now is summer and sunset is only after 9:30PM. However, all shops are closed @ 7PM. So, no shopping for me this trip in Geneva.
In Swaziland, government provides free power supply and free wireless internet access in park. I saw some students from Pennsylvania, USA doing their homeworks there. Very impressive.

Douceur chocolat au lait, Sur son croquant pralineBread is served with every meat. I ate a lot of it with extract extract butter. The butter there is wonderful.Every tea break we had nice food too and kept changing.

Now is 1:11AM and I just took shower. Sooooooo tired.

This proves that business trip is not playing, eating and drinking. I am doing my work.

Geneva June 2008 - Day 3

Extremely Tired

Because of jetlag, woke up at 4:00am in the morning since Singapore already 10:00am. Didn’t have enough sleep + whole day meeting and discussion, the result is I am sooooooo tired.

Thinking of not joining for dinner tonight but better not. Otherwise everyone is going ask which is not good, especial the CIO and my boss also here.

Vampire ???

Gosh, now I know the problem to stay in an old castle is: NO Air Conditional.

At night I dare not to open window when sleep because watched to many horror movies about old castle. Must lock door&window and turn on the light in the bath room before I go to bed. Just to make sure vampire is not able to get into my room. (**hahaha.. people must think I am crazy and thinking too much. lol )

1st day of IT Directors Meeting 2008

“Alfie, from Singapore. Representative for Asia Pacific – Global Datawarehouse.” This is what I introduced myself to the CIO and all the IT competence centre managers for different regions.

I had a strange feeling after I introduced myself. Looked at everyone, I am sure I am the least working experience one in the team. I only have 6+ years working experience, to lead a regional competence centre, is it too early for me? I am not sure but anyway I have been taken this post since Jan 2008.

Geneva June 2008 – Day 1.2

After 16 hours of travel I finally reached the hotel. It was an old castle on a mountain. My colleagues and I did go to the nearest town and had had a side seeing. It was really a small town.

The castle hotel where we are going to have a week "in camp training". This gate used to be the main door for the castle. The Casino in the town Sunday Market Selling PAIN???? It sales bread.
