The Beijing Trip - Day 5

We went to 圆明园 – Perfection and Brightness Garden. Nothing much there. Only leave the stones that from the burned down palace. THANKS French and British by doing that GREAT job. I am VERY APPLICIATE and ALWAYS REMEMBER.

颐和园 – The Summer Palace. It always reminded me of Empress Dowager Cixi, a women who has drove the Qing dynasty to end and changed the history of China.

One of the well known things she did is in 1888, she embezzled navy funds 800 million silvers to reconstruct it for her own benefit which cause China lost the war with Japan. This was the reason why Taiwan has been given to Japan for half a century.

For sure, Cixi was a very smart woman. Otherwise, she wasn’t able to be survived in that time and controlled the kingdom for half a century. Don’t forget, it was an old China when woman was only a play toy for man.
Both hands write different words at the same time.

Happy. Lucky him can everytime travel.

败家石. Placed in front of the house where Cixi used to live. So, confirmed she was the 天下第一号败家女.

The Olympics Park.
