My 1st Food Trip in ION Orchard

ION Orchard has opened for many months but I only used the under pass and never really shopped there before. Personally I don’t like the layout of Ion Orchard. I feel it “messy”. Today gave myself a 1st trip for food there. Nice food and tea I can find there. Glad ION does not disappoint me with food. The salad is sooooooo GOOD.The salmon and soba.
The tea, dessert and environment are good in TWG.

Hi. Like your post. I am gathering some info about ION without being able to go there. Could you tell me how do you find its layout 'messy'? Thanks=)

hi mann, just have some personal options about ION.

1)The building is just like a big puzzle. There are many “hidden” corners where have some shops. I pity those shops since not many people will know they “exist”.

2) Because the building is like a puzzle, I find it so difficult to find a shop if it is in a “hidden” corner. I always get lost in ION when I try to find a shop which is not in a very “open” area, means good location.

3) The signboards for showing direction (MRT, Wheelock, toilet and etc) are unfriendly small. Must walk till you are 5 feet in front of it and you can see.
Issue is when you are too far away, you are not even known there is a signboard in front of you so you miss it if you walk to another direction.

4) Also, the signboards are discontinued. For example, signboard direction to Wheelock is disappeared after the 1st signboard in front of the MRT station. On the way when walk to Wheelock, so many escalators up and down the same floor without any signboard to tell where they connected to. 1st time I went there, I was so confused if I needed to take the escalators.

5) So many people complaint very difficult to find a toilet in ION. Must go up or down at the same floor and then walk a far distance to find a toilet. Problem is after find the toilet, not able to find the way back to the restaurant or shop we just left for toilet because ION IS A BIG PUZZLE and always makes people get LOST inside.

seriously, many people don't like ION because they have smae comments as mind. :(
