Can't remember the whole story. Tried my best:
A professor asked a student to list down 30 people’s names that she thought who were important for her. After that, asked her to erase 5 names that least important to her, then erased another 5 and then anther 5 until left 5 names: her husband, 3 children and herself.
This time, the professor asked the student to erase 3 names that who she could give up. She cried and didn’t want to choose. However, the professor insisted. With no choice, she erased her 3 children’s names.
In the end, the professor asked her to erase one name from the list: her husband’s name or her name. This time, she quickly removed one name from the list.
Who do you think she removed? If you are the student, who are you going to give up? The one you love or yourself?

What I meant was I will not give up the one that I love
Then you have to give up yourself since there is only 2 choices:give up yourself or the one you love.
I can’t comment whether it is right or wrong to sacrifice oneself for another one. It is depend on individual.
For some1, truth love is easily find. One gone and another come.
For another1, truth love is forever. Although the one is gone but love to him/her is last forever.
“You never known what is LOVE until you love some1 more than yourself”.
When you love some1 more than yourself, for sure you are willing to give up yourself for him/her.
