Cambodia : 2008 to 2009 (Day 3)

3rd day the itineraries were almost the same as 2nd day. The only difference was we had a tour guide to follow with us. Today’s highlight was Angkor Wat.

Bayon Temple

When the buddha looks in front, he is looking at the world of God. When the buddha looks down, he is looking at the human world. The God of Love. Can you see a heart shape? We tried to kiss the Buddha. The kids.
Bapuon – 11th Century.
Leper King Terrace – 12th century
It is not easy to climb up and down from the temple.
Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat is the temple for Vishun. In the Hindu Trinity, Vishnu is the protector, the god who preserves universal order and fights to restore harmony. Fine graving in Angkor Wat.In Angkor Wat, out of 2000 Apsaras, only she showed her full teeth. In Hindu, if showed teeth meant is devil. No one knows why this Apsara showed her teeth.
This Apsara is without showing teeth.
The only Apsara out of 2000 Apsaras who wore short but not skirt We tried the palm juice. Taste is good.
Sunset on Phnom Bakheng - 9th century.
The king built the temple represent the mountain reanges that surround Mt Meru, the home of the gods.
It used to have 109 towers on it but most of them are destroyed. Each tower represented one Buddha. People believe that if you walk 1 round on the top of the temple, you can go to heaven.

If not necessary, please try not to climb up to this temple. It is very dangerous because thousand of people are pushing each other to climb up. Anytime it can cause a serious accident.
